After heart attack, Cancer is the 2nd most common cause of death. Cancer can be cured if diagnosed early. The main problem is that the warning signs of cancer can be very mild.

Though some cancers develop without any symptoms, the disease can be dangerous if the symptoms ignored unknowingly.

Apart from eating well and regular exercising, a trip to the doctor is also essential. The best way to fight cancer is to catch it in the early stages, when it’s more treatable.

Prolonged cough or blood-tinged saliva
These are the symptoms representing infections like bronchitis or sinusitis. But sometimes they may be the symptoms of lung, head & neck cancer. If you are suffering with persistent cough that lasts more than a month & blood in the mucus, you should see a doctor.

Change in Bowel Habits
Blood in stools, diarrhea or constipation & feeling of not fully emptied your bowels after going to the toilet, abdomen & back passage pain, bloating are the symtoms of colon cancer.If you see these symptoms for more than few weeks than consult your doctor.

Breast Lumps or breast discharge
Breast lumps are normal tumors such as fibroadenomas or cysts. But sometimes they be the symptoms of breast cancer. Breast discharge is common, but sometimes its a sign of cancer. Consult your doctor, if the discharge is bloody or from only one nipple.

Lumps in the testicles
Testicle cancer is 90% a painless or uncomfortable lump on a testicle. Some times enlarged testicle, swollen veins and infections may be the reason, but any lump should be evaluated.

A change in urination
Frequent urination, little amounts of urine & slow urine flow or a general change in bladder function are the symptoms of urinary infections or enlarged prostate gland. But these symptoms may also be the symptoms of prostate cancer.

Hoarseness
Hoarseness may be a respiratory infection caused by simple allergy or by vocal cord polyps. But sometimes it may be the first sign of throat cancer.

Bleeding Between Periods
Bleeding or spotting betw
een periods, which is not a part of your monthly cycle may be due to different causes. But some times if you bleed from the vagina between periods, or after sex or after the menopause these may be the symptoms of endometrial cancer.

Moles
If you get a new mole or if there is a change in a mole like irregular or asymmetrical shape,
irregular border and may be more than one colour measuring above 7mm, itchy, crusting or bleeding then it may be malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer.

Unexpected Weight Loss
If you lose your weight unexpectedly without diet change or exercise, it may be due to stress or thyroid. But it can be a sign of pancreatic cancer, digestive cancer, colon cancer, stomach cancer and lung cancers.

Difficulty swallowing
If you face chronic heartburn or difficulty in swallowing, it could be a Barrett esophagus, a oesophagus cancer.
