1. Tulsi or Basil Leaves

Consume 2-3 tulsi leaves or one table spoon of its juice on an empty stomach to lower the blood sugar levels. Tulsi leaves are packed with antioxidants and essential oils that produce eugenol, methyl eugenol and caryophyllene.

2. Flax seeds (Alsi)

Take 1 table spoon of flax seeds powder on an empty stomach with a glass of warm water in the morning. Flax seeds contains high fiber which helps in digestion and aid in the proper absorption of fats and sugars.

3. Cinnamon or Dalchini

Add about 1 gram of dalchini or cinnamon into diet daily for about a month which helps to lower blood sugar levels. Half tea spoon of dalchini a day improves insulin sensitivity and helps in controlling weight, and decreasing risk for heart diseases.

4. Green Tea

A cup of Green tea in the morning or before your meals helps in controlling the release of blood sugars. Green tea is high in polyphenol content which is a strong antioxidant and  hypoglycemic compound.

5. Cactus Juice

Cactus juice helps in controlling blood sugar, extract Juice of Cactus and consume it daily. Cactus juice helps in decreasing and stabilizing blood glucose and insulin levels.

6. Drumstick Leaves

Make Drumstick leaves juice from few drumstick leaves. Consume 1/4 th cup of drumstick juice on an empty stomach daily in the morning. Drumstick leaves juice lowers the blood levels and control the sugar level.

7. Bitter Gourd

Include  karela or Bitter gourd in your diet at least once in a week. A glass of Bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach for every 3 days helps in reducing the blood sugar levels.

8. Neem

Consume the juice of the tender leaves of neem on empty stomach in the morning. Neem helps to improve blood circulation by dilating the blood vessels, lowers blood glucose levels.

9. Indian blackberry

Consume 5-6 kalajamuns/ blackberries or a tea spoon of jamun seeds powder with a glass of warm milk. Blackberries prevent the conversion of starch into sugar, lowers the blood sugar level.

10. Exercise

Regular exercise helps controlling the diabetes by non medical means. Exercise increases the insulin sensitivity and helps to tackle the root cause of diabetes. Regular exercise can educe cholesterol levels and high blood pressure.
