1. Green Tea
Green tea helps in controlling the release of blood sugars. Consume a cup of Green tea in the morning or before meals. Green tea is rich in polyphenol content, a strong antioxidant and hypo-glycaemic compounds.
2. Cinnamon
Cinnamon or Dalchini is the best home remedy for diabetis. Half tea spoon of cinnamon everyday improves insulin sensitivity, controls weight and reduce heart diseases. Add 1 gram of cinnamon in your daily diet for about one month. This helps in lowering blood sugar levels.
3. Bitter Gourd :
Consume Bitter gourd or karela everyday or else once in a week. This helps in controlling or avoiding diabetis. Consume a glass of Bitter gourd juice daily or 3 days in a week on an empty stomach. It helps in reducing the blood sugar levels.
4. Neem
Neems helps in controlling diabetis. Drink tender neem leaves juice on empty stomach in the morning everyday. Neem improves the blood circulation by dilating the blood vessels and lowers the blood sugar levels.
5. Basil Leaves
Basil or Tulsi leaves are packed with antioxidants and essential oils that produce eugenol, methyl eugenol and caryophyllene. Basil or Tulsi leaves controlls the blood sugar levels. Intake 2-3 tulsi leaves or 1 table spoon of its juice on an empty stomach.
6. Ginger
Ginger is helpful in effecting insulin secretion and controls diabetis. When treated with ginger extracts, there is 35 percent drop in blood glucose levels and a 10 per cent increase in plasma insulin levels.
7. Drumstick Leaves
Drumstick leaves helps in lowering the blood sugar levels and controls the sugar level. Extract juice from few drumstick leaves and consume 1/4 th cup on an empty stomach everyday.
8. Okra
Okra or Ladyfinger helps in lowering the blood sugar levels. It has anti-diabetic properties. Soak okra pieces in water overnight and consume it next morning. Roasted okra seeds are used as a traditional diabetes medicine from generations.
9. Indian Gooseberry
Indian gooseberry or Amla has vitamin C, which promotes proper functioning of the pancreas and control the blood sugar levels. Make a juice of Amla mix 2 teaspoons of this with a glass of water and consume daily in the morning on an empty stomach.

Cactus juice lowers the blood sugar levels, stablizes the blood glucose and insulin levels. Extract Juice from Cactus and consume it daily. It helps in controlling the blood sugar level.
11. Fenugreek seeds
Fenugreek seeds are rich in fiber and controls diabetes. Consume these regularly for few months to control blood sugar levels. Soak fenugreek seeds overnight in water and consume next day morning before breakfast. You can mix fenugreek powder with milk and consume.
12. Flax seeds
Flax seeds have high fibre, that helps in digestion and helps in proper absorption of fats and sugars. Intake 1 table spoon of flax seeds powder on an empty stomach with a glass of warm water everyday in the morning.
13. Guava
Consuming guava with its skin can control the blood sugar levels. Guava is the one fruit that diabetics can consume without fear. Guava contains vitamin C and high fibre content and helps in controlling diabetis.
14. Blackberry
Blackberries or Kalajamun helps to control diabetis, it prevents the conversion of starch into sugar and lowers the blood sugar level. Consume a spoon of jamun seeds powder with a glass of warm milk. Consuming 5-6 kalajamuns or blackberries is also beneficial.
15. Exercise
Regular exercise can educe cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. Exercise controls the diabetes by nonmedical means. Regular exercise increases the insulin sensitivity and helps to tackle the root cause of diabetes.
