The glycoside amygdalin in bitter almonds turns into prussic acid in the body, commonly known as hydrogen cyanide.


The cucumber which is bitter is very harmful. Its bitterness is caused by Cucurbitacins. The bitter cucumber intake leads to all kinds of stomach worms and illnesses.

You can reduce bitterness, by cutting the ends of it. This reduce the risk of getting the cucurbitacins to contaminate the rest of the cucumber.


The small amount of poison alkaloid tomatine and solanine is found in the green or unripe tomatoes, leaves, and in its stem.

The unripe tomatoes cause stomach cramps, stomach upset and anxiety. In ancient days the use of tomato leaves resulted in several deaths.


The green potato contain a natural toxin called solanine, a dangerous nerve toxin. The potato leaves are high in glycoalkaloids, a deadly poison.

The intake of green potatoes cause vomiting, headaches, and paralysis of central nervous system.

The raw or uncooked lima beans contains the most dangerous poison ricin, that comes from the seeds of the castor bean.


The seeds of Apples are harmful. Our body enzymes has the tendency to change the compounds in apple seeds into cyanide.

The apple seeds are called as pips, which have a cyanide called amygdalin. It turns into deadly hydrogen cyanide when metabolized by the body.


Cherries contain cyanogenic glycosides – a cyanide that release poison into blood stream. Mild poisoning may cause headache, vomiting, dizziness & confusion.

The larger dose may increase the heart rate, blood pressure, kidney failure, coma and respiratory arrest which leads to death.


The green elderberries and raw elderberries contain a poisonous alkaloid. Eat only the ripe berries.

Except fruits & flowers of elderberry plant are poisonous as they contain deadly toxin cyanogenic glycoside compound.

The raw eggs, uncooked meat, red meat, poultry and seafood contain salmonella bacteria, which cause gastroenteritis.

Salmonella is a poison which leads to serious complications such as bacteremia, a life-threatening to people with weaker immune system.

Fugu or Blowfish
