The main concept of the Veeramachaneni Rama Krishna diet plan is carbs based metabolosim to fat based metabolism.
According to Rao our body functions on 2 types of metabolism one is Carbs based metabolism and the other is fat based metabolism.
Since childhood, our bodies are functioning on Carbs based metabolism. By this diet plan you will convert the carbs based metabolism into complete fat based metabolism. VRK diet plan has no carbs but only proteins and fats.
The time period for weight loss or the fat loss, depends on the person to person. No fruits and fruits juices to be consumed in this diet. The vitamins & minerals are taken in the form of multivitamin tablets.
The Diet Programs includes 4 steps
1) Healthy Fat diet
2) Water-4 liters daily
3) lemons-3 per day
4) multivitamin tablets-1 to 2 per day
Healthy Fat Diet
The healthy fat diet includes 6 fat based foods like Coconut oil, Ghee , Clear Butter, cream formed above the yogurt, Butter and Olive Oil. These has to be consumed 70-100 grams daily and the quantity to be correctly measured.
Consuming upto minimum of 4 litres of water everyday is compulsory.By the end of the day you should make sure to take 4 liters of water.
You have to include 3 lemons in your diet everyday. The lemons can be taken with butter milk, hot water or in any form but by the end of the day you have to take 3 lemons.
As this diet plan doesn’t include fruits and proteins, but it is must to take vitamins and proteins. You have to take vitamins in the form of multivitamin tablets. If you have planned for a 1 meal plan make sure to take 2 multivitamins tablets and for 2 meal plan talk 1 multi vitamin tablet daily.
Apart from the above diet plan, you can intake other items like eggs-maximum of 6 eggs a day, nuts like almond, walnuts.
The diet can be of 2 types solid meal diet and liquid diet plan. Obese people can follow the liquid diet like soups based diet and butter milk. And the other can go for solid diet.
Food colouring, monosodium glutamate, milk and yogurt, potato, yam, colocasia and tapioca, as also beans and sugars need to be strictly restricted to reap the benefits of this diet.
Sample diet plan
Start your day with a glass of lukewarm water with one lime squeezed into it.
Eggs, eggs are to be scrambled, poached, omelette or boiled or curried with any vegetables, followed by a vitamin tablet.
Clear vegetable or mutton/beef/chicken soup with any of the recommended fats stirred in.
Salads with pepper and olive oil, and with out salt. Vegetable curries cooked in coconut oil, olive oil, ghee or butter. Just a little bit of sea salt/rock salt can be added.
Evening : again Salad
Last meal :
The last meal must be before 7.30, which include a Soup with fat to complete the daily recommended 70 grams of fat.
MultiVitamin tablets has to be taken after the last meal.
For further nourishment, you can have grilled or tandoori meat marinated in sea salt, chilly/pepper, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste and home-made spice powder not more than 300 gm for men and 250 gm for women. You can also opt for boiled, steamed, stir- fried or curried vegetables for lunch. Only half onion and one small tomato is recommended per day.
